This year has been defined by remarkable progress and achievements at Miami Neuroscience Institute. A historic $50 million donation from Ken Griffin will support the Institute’s continued growth and further its mission of delivering world-class neurological care.
In an ambitious expansion, the Institute welcomed new specialists in stroke, epilepsy and seizure disorders, movement disorders, neuro-ophthalmology, and neuroimmunology/multiple sclerosis—enhancing its comprehensive care and reinforcing its commitment to excellence. Additionally, the Institute ranked among the top 10 percent in the nation for treating complex neurology and neurosurgery patients and received recognition for clinical excellence in stroke care. These accolades reflect the dedication and expertise of its team.
Most importantly, Miami Neuroscience Institute continues to transform lives, offering hope and healing to patients and families throughout the community.
Marcus Neuroscience Institute received an unprecedented $32 million grant from The Marcus Foundation—one of the final major grants personally directed by Bernie Marcus before his passing in early November at the age of 95. This transformative gift will further elevate the Institute as the premier destination for comprehensive, integrated neurological and neurosurgical care in the region.
Continuing its pursuit of excellence, Marcus Neuroscience Institute advanced toward its goal of becoming South Florida’s first comprehensive spine center, earning The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Advanced Certification in Spine Surgery. The Institute also introduced High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound for patients with essential tremor, expanding access to cutting-edge treatment. Additionally, it joined the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ GUIDE program, a nationwide initiative aimed at improving dementia care.
Each of these milestones underscores Marcus Neuroscience Institute’s unwavering commitment to advancing neurological care and enhancing patient outcomes.
