Board-certified urologist Yvonne K. P. Koch, M.D., has joined Baptist Health Urology. She specializes in general urology and male and female voiding dysfunction.

Certified by the American Board of Urology in urology and female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Koch has more than 18 years of experience in patient care and academic instruction in her specialty.

Dr. Koch earned her medical degree at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. She completed a general surgery internship and a urology residency at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Her clinical training also includes a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine, Reconstructive Surgery and Neurourology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Koch has published her work in medical journals and presented at scientific symposiums. She is a member of several professional societies, including the American Urological Association, the Society of Women in Urology and the Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine & Urogenital Reconstruction.
To provide the best care and improve her patients’ quality of life, Dr. Koch encourages clear, honest and open communication. “I listen to each patient’s unique situation and then together we formulate a personalized care plan that reflects evidence-based medicine and aligns with the patient’s goals,” she said.
