Taylor Wingo, M.D., Joins Baptist Health Orthopedic Care as Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon
Taylor Wingo, M.D., an orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon, has joined Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. Dr. Wingo specializes in minimally invasive surgery and the diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle conditions, including ankle arthritis, cartilage injuries, tendon disorders, forefoot conditions and sports-related injuries. She also has expertise in complex foot and ankle surgery.

Dr. Wingo completed an orthopedic foot and ankle surgery fellowship at Baptist Health Orthopedic Care in Miami. She completed her orthopedic surgery residency at NYU Langone Health in New York and earned her medical degree from NYU Grossman School of Medicine through its accelerated three-year medical degree pathway. During medical school, she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and received the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Student Award, which recognizes integrity, compassion, respect and service.
An active clinical researcher, Dr. Wingo has authored peer-reviewed publications, book chapters and scientific presentations focused on orthopedic surgery and foot and ankle care. A significant portion of her research has examined minimally invasive surgical techniques and patient outcomes. Her research interests also include ankle arthroscopy, ankle arthritis, cartilage injuries, tendon disorders and outcomes following foot and ankle procedures. Her work has been presented at national and international medical conferences.
Dr. Wingo earned a bachelor’s degree in human biology with highest distinction from the University of Virginia, where she was a varsity tennis player and competed in the NCAA Division I tennis program. Her experience as a collegiate athlete gives her added insight into athletic performance, injury prevention and recovery. Dr. Wingo works closely with each patient to develop an evidence-based treatment plan that reflects the patient’s condition, lifestyle and personal goals.
