Nathan J. Nordmann, M.D., Joins Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute as Director of Spinal Oncology and Co-Director of Spinal Radiosurgery
Fellowship-trained neurosurgeon Nathan J. Nordmann, M.D., has joined Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience as director of spinal oncology and co-director of spinal radiosurgery. He specializes in the surgical treatment of conditions affecting the brain and spine, with advanced expertise in primary and metastatic spinal tumors, complex spinal pathology and minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Dr. Nordmann completed a neurosurgical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center following a neurological surgery residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. During this time, he completed additional specialized training in orthopedic and neurosurgical spine surgery techniques and conducted dedicated research on spinal cord injury. His clinical and research interests focus on brain and spinal tumors, spinal oncology, and multidisciplinary approaches to treating complex neurological conditions.

In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Nordmann has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented nationally on neurosurgical oncology, minimally invasive spine surgery and spinal disorders. His research has contributed to advances in spinal tumor surgery, brain tumor treatment and surgical innovation.
