Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute has been ranked among the nation’s best by U.S. News & World Report.
In the magazine’s 2023-2024 rankings, Miami Neuroscience Institute cracked the top 40 for the first time ever, coming in at number 39, according to Michael McDermott, M.D., the Institute’s chief medical executive. In addition, Miami Neuroscience Institute is ranked among the top 10 percent in the nation for stroke care, receiving the magazine’s “High Performing” designation.
Rankings in the annual U.S. News & World Report “Best Hospitals” issue are designed to assist patients and their doctors in making informed decisions about where to receive care for challenging health conditions or elective procedures. Rankings are based on objective data, including quality outcomes, patient experience and likelihood of discharge to home.
“Being ranked among the very best in the country by U.S. News & World Report is a milestone for Miami Neuroscience Institute and it reflects our pursuit of excellence and innovation in the field of neuroscience,” says Dr. McDermott. “It confirms our commitment to quality of care and improving patient outcomes, and it lets the physicians in the community know that they can trust the care we can deliver to their patients.”
Dr. McDermott adds that Miami Neuroscience Institute’s top 40 ranking reflects the commitment Baptist Health has made to the care of patients with neurological problems, disorders of the brain, spine and peripheral nervous system. “I think it validates our efforts over the past three years to create a robust, multidisciplinary and sub-specialized group of physicians who can provide the best clinical care for patients.”
