The Miami Brain Symposium will focus on state-of-the-art approaches to the management of primary and metastatic central nervous system tumors, along with current standards of care and a look at future directions. This symposium will engage participants as the expert faculty navigate through complex cases, novel treatment strategies and panel discussions.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this symposium, participants should be better able to:
- Examine the role of novel clinical and translational biomarkers, chemosensitivity, and other assays in guiding treatment of gliomas.
- Recognize the advantages of novel radiation modalities and fractionation strategies for patients with brain metastases, gliomas, meningiomas, chordoma, and other brain tumors.
- Evaluate key advances in syndromic and pediatric brain tumor diagnoses and management.
- Understand the role of systemic therapies and craniospinal irradiation in treating leptomeningeal disease.
- Recognize the limitations and advances in imaging of brain tumors.
