Baptist Health has once again been recognized as the most award-winning healthcare organization in South Florida based on the 2023-2024 U.S. News & World Report rankings. The organization’s hospitals and institutes are among the very best in America, securing a total of 45 awards.   

Baptist Health Baptist Hospital is recognized on the list as the #1 hospital in the Miami Fort Lauderdale metro area and the fifth in the State of Florida. Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute is ranked #39 in the nation in the Neurology & Neurosurgery category, among other High-Performing designations.

• Baptist Health Brain & Spine Care: Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute is ranked number 39 in the country for treating complex neurology and neurosurgery cases. Both Miami Neuroscience Institute and Marcus Neuroscience Institute, established at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, are recognized for clinical excellence in stroke care.

• Baptist Health Cancer Care: Baptist Health Cancer Care is recognized as one of the best cancer programs in the nation, in the top 10% for treating the most complex cancer cases. Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute received High-Performing designations in colon cancer surgery; leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma; lung cancer surgery; and prostate cancer surgery. The Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health, at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, also received the High Performing designation for colon cancer surgery. Additionally, Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute, which has neurosurgeons with dual appointments at Miami Cancer Institute, is now ranked among the top neurology and neurosurgery programs in the country.

• Baptist Health Heart & Vascular Care: The Christine E. Lynn Heart & Vascular Institute and Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute have both been cited for high performance in treating heart attacks and caring for those with heart failure.

• Baptist Health Orthopedic Care: Baptist Health Orthopedic Institute is honored for excellence in both hip and knee replacement surgery.

The annual U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals ratings are designed to assist patients and their doctors in making informed decisions about where to receive care for challenging health conditions or routine elective procedures.

U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 hospitals across 15 specialties and 21 procedures and conditions; only 12% of evaluated hospitals earned a Best Hospitals ranking. Hospitals awarded a “Best” designation excelled at factors such as clinical outcomes, level of nursing care and patient experience.
